I HAVE WRITTEN ANOTHER BOOK......

Before I started this blog post, I went to the blog post written for ‘The Finer Details’. The title was apt and so is this title. I have written another e-book about skincare. How did I get here? By accepting that I can have space in the skincare community. By allowing myself to be more than just a makeup artist. By trusting what I know does not mean I know everything but that I am in a state of constant learning. 

‘A Solid 50’ was inspired by a question I receive far too often. ‘How do I get amazing skin?’ A loaded question. So many factors to consider! Genetics, skin type, lifestyle, skin conditions, etc! But there is one thing that we all need to do to start our journey towards ‘amazing’ skin. ( I use quotes around the word amazing because that description is another loaded word that needs unpacking. But not in this blog post!) 

WE CLEANSE. That is one thing that we all do. Where it gets all confusing for us and inefficient, even irritating, for our skin is the HOW. It has been well established that clean skin is skin that thrives. But what is being left out is the HOW. Cleansing your skin is truly 50% of your skincare routine. Cleanse your skin well and you have won half the game. 

I truly don’t take cleansing lightly. I know, for a fact and from experience, when I didn’t understand my cleansing needs, I made mistakes with my skincare that led to irritation and a lack of glow. Now that I have my solid 50 down, I know I have maximized my skincare routine and products! Did you know that the efficiency of your cleansing routine determines the efficiency of the rest of your routine? Imagine putting all your serums and creams on insufficiently cleansed and unhappy skin? Pointless! 

That’s what my new book is about. Cleansing. PROPERLY. The book addresses everything cleansing(I hope!). It even comes with a worksheet to help create your cleansing routine as you read the book. 

So let’s create your best cleansing routine!
